Our walks and events
SSDC is purely for fun, monthly walks, normally the 3rd Sunday of the month, to meet up in and around the Salisbury area
(or maybe a little further afield)
The only requirement is you have a Sausage Dog, we welcome Miniatures, Standards and "Midis", wire-haired, smooth and long coats and all coat patterns. We accept people may own other breeds of dogs, so they are welcome, if they are well behaved well socialised and we ask you kindly to keep them on a lead, so our little sausages can feel safe.
The clue is in the name! Salisbury sausage dog club is for fun, but also to help puppies and more timid dachshunds socialise with their own breed and gain in confidence.

(I do realise it is fathers day, so feel free to bring DADs along too!)

Time: meet between 10:30-11:00 the walk will last around an hour to an hour and a half. This one is a large open space great for the Sausages to have a good run about off lead.
Location: Tishead Water Tower, they is a good sized car park opposite this site for the walk. Fro Salisbury on the A360, take the left turn sign posted Chitterne, just after the garage (Tishead head) the water tower is on the left and a car park opposite on the right.
Be careful as the village before (Shrewton) also has a garage and then a turning for Chilterne so its the second one.

We first tired this walk in the snow and still managed a good turn out, hope the weather is good and you can make it.
